I hope no one minds that I've started putting large watermarks on the fullview images. My paranoia is chronic and is only getting worse.
ANYWAY. More MAX art! This is *modesty's centaur character Charlemagne, who also can be called Charlie. How adorable this that? As soon as I saw him I knew I just had to try drawing him. He looked so shy and unsure of himself I nearly died from the cuteness of it all, especially since traditional centaurs are the personification of the animalistic instinct and raw pleasure in humans. I never draw any centaurs anyway. I thought I'd try something new with this picture and inked it in Illustrator. I'M NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN. It took over two hours and by the time I was finished my eyes were aching. I mean, the results were pretty spiffy, but it's not worth all the effort involved. Stupid pen tool. Charlemagne (c) Artwork (c) myself This picture was drawn for the Multi-Artist eXchange! Do you have original characters? Do you want to receive art from them on a regular schedule? Of course you do! An AMAZING program not many artists know how to use. A lot of demand for Vector art work out there & not enough qualified people to do all of it.
Boring work, but pays very nicely!

It is far better to grasp the universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring." ~Carl Sagan
Maybe one day when I'm a lot more awesome I'll get a lot more paranoid.
I do like the picture, though. The number one goal (out of the seven goals) of drawing for animation, which is how I try to draw, is emotion. And it's not extreme, but he's certainly got it. Makes a lot more interesting than if he was just standing there.
The hands are great. Hands are important for expression and they're just all around hard to draw.
You've got knobby/bony and soft tissue parts in the anatomy, and they look like they're hard and soft parts. That's fantastic, too.
Oh! And the character and picture look nice, too. Not just the principles. I like it!

Hehe, when I saw the title I was expecting the King not a centaur, but boy howdy is he a hot fellow.
