I think if I did Children of Hate it would look something like this.
I wish I had layered up the background a little more, but not only was this supposed to be a quick test, but the entire building lost power for a second and I thought I lost the entire thing. Luckily, my computer recovered a copy of the file, but I was a little too freaked out to do any more work on it.

Thoughts?

(PS- this would happen in Chapter 2.)

You did a really good job of making yours and Milo's styles match up. I think if you did go through with drawing Children of Hate, this style would be good for it. It's dark and kind of gritty.

I think it looks fine. It's simple and legible. If Children of Hate is what you need to get the gears turning again, do it. But if it's just gonna stress you out, don't do it. Focus on your main projects instead of spreading yourself too thin and feeling like you never get anything done.

I also agree with Jaibyrd. While we will miss Milo's stunning backgrounds and lineart, your rendition here keeps the serious, almost darkish realism theme that the comic had going for it.

Also, I can't get used to Kavin with a beard. FALL IN LOVE WITH MARIE AND SHAVE IT OFF ALREADY

I like it! Rather matches the theme and tone of the story that has been set so far, thus not a very jarring change, instead refreshing!
