Knightly Squidby *Cheeko-001

It's the end of the month, and you know what that means! Another MAX piece!

This round I was assigned to do a piece for

, and I really, really liked the design for his Knightly Squid character. Why is she a knight for the squids? Or a squid of the knights? I really don't know. I meant to draw a little cartoon squid in there somewhere, but I forgot. I'll add it later.
When I originally drew this picture, I couldn't find a color reference for her anywhere. I was kind of disappointed because I really wanted to slap some color on, but greyscale is always an easier thing to do. You can imagine how stupid I felt when I finally went to ~Megajon profile page to find that his featured deviation was a colored piece of this person. Aaaagh. Well, I'll try harder next time.

I think I commented on this before on the MAX forums, but I wanted to reiterate that I really like the composition. It really looks like she's jumping off the page and her sword is coming right at the viewer. The simple background works well, too.
