My brother :iconbobthehobo:'s birthday was this past Saturday! Happy birthday, bud!

:iconcorellius: sent me an email a couple days ago with this great idea to present him with a joint DnD gift this evening at a related party. I'm assuming that's he's there and has received it already (that big jerk was supposed to call me when he did, gee whiz.) but I'm taking the risk and uploading this picture.

I'm really very pleased with how this came out. If I can just get a composition to work the way I want it to in a picture, every other mistake else just fades into the background. It'd be cool to sell prints of this at the con; we'll see.
like how his arrow is way too short geez how is he going to shoot that thing

Ooooh. I really like how you used hatching and all of the different, detailed marks for different textures. The leaves have their own organic, kinda rough, leafy feel, the hatched shadows on his cloak feel very realistic and contribute a lot to the mood. They look so lifelike, just like how a bright sunlight would drop those shadows from the trees and leaves onto someone. I like the woodgrain on his bow a lot, too, and the stubble and shadows on his face are pretty neat in how they seem to branch out from the dark, dark shadows around his eyes.

I love his dangerous expression, and the pose and the moody shadows really communicate the mood perfectly. It's like you're watching with bated breath as he slowly and stealthily emerges from the shadows to stalk his prey just before he lets his arrow loose.
