is having a contest right now in which her readers decide the gender of her long androgynous character Saturno, who up until this point has really not determined itself as male or female. There's a long story behind that (which you can actually read HERE in Jilly's webcomic).
I'm totally convinced Saturno is a girl. The contest rules say that you have to draw him/her in an outfit for the gender for which you're voting, but for the very LIFE of me I cannot make Saturno pull off mini skirts, leggings, pea coats, sandals or capris. They all just look WEIRD when I draw them on her/him. It's frustrating. So you know what? I'm giving her androgynous clothing. BECAUSE I CAN, DANGIT, and I think SHE makes them look good, and maybe that's what SHE'D prefer anyway.
