That's right, I'm going to be part of a up and coming OCT here on dA called Project Minotaur!

The setting is a mix of science fiction and fantasy. Ancient Greek Gods have been enslaved by science and technology, and magic no longer holds the same influence it once did. As a competitor, your character becomes a test subject in a larger experiment, fighting off infection by a strange virus and struggling to survive a maze created by the mysterious Minos Coorporation. It's clear that you and the other competitors are not the only ones in the maze, either!
Project Minotaur is an OCT that is open to EVERY kind of storyteller, be they artist, animator, writer or comic-er. I encourage you all to enter, as we (the judges) are all very excited to see what stories you tell us!

In other news, the new One Question site design by looks pretty awesome, right?! Waz and Jon (my webhost) have got the front page design up and going, and they're working on getting the other smaller pages going too. I can't wait until you all see the Characters page, because Waz REALLY rocked that one out. It looks FANTASTIC!

IN OTHER NEWS,
I'm sure a lot of you have heard about the big blizzard that hit the central east coast. Well, I was up visiting at the time (and desperately hoping to see too, dangit!) for all of twelve hours when I realized that I would have to hightail it back home to keep from being trapped with Dhevil & Family for Christmas. But despite my best efforts I still got stuck in the middle of the snow storm on some back country highway and nearly got stuck in the middle of nowhere. Luckily, I abandoned my car in a lot and managed to make it to a hotel in my hometown, but I was trapped there for two days. I'm kind of glad it happened. It was really neat seeing the entire city just stop and hold its breath.
Still, it could have been a lot worse. A lot of people had to sleep in their cars ON THE HIGHWAY. Hooray for our state's sucky road plowing team.
So to get HOME, on the third day I had to choose what I really needed, then carry it about a mile to my dad's hospital and bum a ride off one of his coworkers. Gaw, that stuff got heavy but the half mile mark. (Though I'll tell you it's a strange experience, walking down the middle of a major road so packed with snow you can't even see the pavement. With about every other person in the area doing the same thing you are. S'funny. You meet a lot of people when you're all in the exact same situation.) A very nice paramedic named Alan gave me a ride. (I was privately hoping he'd use an ambulance, but no go.) I managed to make it as far to the hotel where my mother had gotten trapped when she was out doing ERRANDS, and stayed another night there. And then this morning my dad finally decided the roads were good enough to venture out on and came out to get us.
So now I'm home safe and sound and kind of irritated I didn't get to bother Dhevil as much as I wanted. I didn't even get to see Arfeeeee!

EDIT: Oh, wow.
"And then I found $5" is an expression people in this area use when someone thinks they've told a boring or pointless story so that it may appear to have a point. I didn't really find $5. For example:
#1: "So I went to the grocery store today to get milk but all they had left was 2% and I only drink skim! So I figured I'd get a Snickers instead to make up for it but they were all out of THAT, too!"

ANNOUUUUUNCEMENTS!

Firstly, A HUUUUUUGE thank you to the people who purchased artist proofs!! I can't even express how appreciative I am. I didn't get rid of many of them, but I'm much better off than where I was before in terms of Chrismas shopping funds. Thank you, thank you!

I'm afraid I can't sell any more proofs at this point, as I will not have any time to pack or ship them in the coming days. I'm afraid I'm a very busy dragon this holiday break, and I wouldn't be able to get them in the mail to you at a decent time if you ordered them now. I would feel just awful spending money I hadn't yet earned if that was the case, and I don't want to be in that situation. >_<
I'll put up another poll after I go back to school and see if anyone will still buy any, but for now I'm taking down the Artist Proof Journal. After a little bit of consideration, I've decided that I won't be doing any other $10 Pen Commissions either.

Secondly, I am now on Christmas Break!
While this may be a prime opportunity to catch up on projects I've been putting off, finally finish those prizes for the Dragon Persona Contest, and catching up on 1Q updates, my dad pointed out that I spend pretty much EVERY school break doing these things, and I am pretty burnt out. So as of right now, all I am aiming to do is ship out these print commissions and maybe get the prizes ready for scanning, not much else. I really want to actually ENJOY my last Christmas vacation by not doing much of anything.
Ergo: not many arts from me for awhile (except maybe a Christmas picture).

Thirdly, HOOOOOOLLLEEEE poo we're 200 hits shy of 100k?! WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN. There's no way I'm going to get that picture done in time. *headdesk*

I'm also considering selling my artist proofs from my screen printing class. Artist Proofs are prints that I didn't include with the official edition that was graded because of minor printing errors (such as patching, mis-registration, and blotting). They would be about $7 - $15 each (these prices cover shipping costs). Some of the proofs I would be selling include Dracula, Wolf-Man, The Mummy, The Bird and The Fish ([link]) and a sketch from my London Sketchbook.
